Congrats to our My Morning Jacket Ticket Contest Winners

Over the past few days, Antengo hosted a number of contests to give away My Morning Jacket tickets to their concert last night at the SDSU Open Air Theater. The contest was a huge success, reaching thousands of people in San Diego through our partnerships with local organizations and our social media reach. We’d like to thank ThrillistSD for their help spreading news on the contest.

Antengo Launch with MDA Seattle

Yesterday, Antengo launched its campaign with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in Seattle for their annual Fill-the-Boot fundraising campaign. Since 1954, the International Association of Fire Fighters has teamed up with MDA for their Fill-the-Boot campaigns. Fire fighters volunteer their time – and boots – to collect donations at various locations in different cities and neighborhoods across the country. Washington State began their campaign in May, with Seattle holding their two day event over July 15th & 16th.

Now, how does Antengo get involved in something like this? Location, of course!

This year, the MDA has teamed up with Antengo to post listings of each of their Fill-the-Boot locations throughout Seattle. Antengo brings a community-focused technology to a long-standing tradition by raising awareness of donation locations. For July 15th & 16th, we’ve got nearly 30 listings showing the closest donation center to you. People with the mobile application simply have to search in the “Donate”, “Volunteer”, or “Lend-a-Hand” categories to find one of the many location postings around them.

At Antengo, we are proud of our community-driven postings, look for more in your area soon!

Ocean Beach Farmers’ Market

Last Wednesday, my Antengo team and I took a trip to the Ocean Beach Farmers’ Market to have some fun and spread the word about Antengo. Talk about a great place for location-based marketing.  I mean, if you were walking through an insanely crowded farmers’ market, wouldn’t you want to know what vendors were selling what and their location? With all of the different fresh produce, delicious foods, beautiful art and other local items, it would definitely be a shame to overlook anything.

When we first arrived at the market, the team went around to all the vendors to tell them a bit about the app and see if they were interested in a listing being created for them. Sure enough, the majority of them liked the idea of a free app that could potentially attract more people to their booth. After that, it was time for me to make my appearance.

As I walked down the streets, dancing, waving, posing for photos, and doing my thing, most people were staring at me like they’d never seen a giant ant before. But hey, that’s when I let my fellow Ant team members fill them in about Antengo and me.

Overall, the OB Farmer’s Market was a success. Will more farmers’ markets be on the agenda in the future? Most definitely. Check out more photos here.
